What is the sell-side advisory ?
The key focus for the selling party is to identify the counterpart for which the company (target) will represent a strategic value enabling the buyer to accomplish something extraordinary that he would price with a bigger stretch.
Strategic interest must be identified on two facets: the strategic issue which will determine the enterprise value, and the buyer’s ability to engage sustainable growth and offer new prospects to the company.
You have to understand the company from the inside and the acquirers in their ambitions (and limits).
