Société de Plastique Noble (SPN) is a French manufacturer of high performance plastics. Founded in 1938 by aeronautical engineer Louis Ulmer, the company has become a specialist in the processing and machining of high performance plastic parts and a leader in Europe in the field of high performance plastics. After developing its customer portfolio mainly in France, the company opened up to Europe.
Founded in 1947 by Rolan Dedienne, the Normandy-based group, Demgy (formerly Dedienne Multiplasturgy) is one of Europe’s leading specialists in the transformation of engineering plastics, high-performance polymers and composites. Present in many sectors such as health, aeronautics, automotive, energy, sports and leisure, Demgy achieved a turnover of €54M in 2020.
The interests of this acquisition for Demgy are as follows :
- To penetrate the sealing sector and structure a global offer on hydrogen
- To complete its offer with fluorinated materials
For SPN, historically very present in aeronautics, this merger will enable it to :
- Join a group with a strategy dedicated to this niche
- Access to new customers
