Founded in 2012 and based in La Garde, in the Var department (83), Synergy has established itself as the leading IT provider for small and medium-sized businesses in the region. Organized around three complementary divisions—office automation, IT, and telecommunications—the company offers an integrated suite of services covering all the digital needs of its 500 clients: equipment supply and maintenance, IT outsourcing, IP telephony, connectivity, backup solutions, cybersecurity, and digitization. Synergy builds long-term relationships with its clients through multi-year service contracts, ensuring continuous support and optimal service quality, which has driven annual growth of nearly 20% over the past five years.

Founded in 1997 by Sacha Rosenthal, XEFI is an independent French group specializing in local IT services for microbusinesses, SMEs, and government agencies. Based in Lyon, the group now relies on a network of approximately 200 branches, primarily in France but also across Europe, notably in Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and Monaco.

XEFI offers a comprehensive range of services to support companies in managing and transforming their information systems, including:

  • Maintenance and managed services,
  • Supply of IT equipment,
  • Cybersecurity,
  • Digitalization solutions, as well as hosting and cloud services operated through six proprietary data centers certified to HDS, ISO 27001, and Uptime Tier III standards.

Synergy’s merger with the XEFI Group is part of a strategy focused on external growth. It enables XEFI to strengthen its presence in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, and more specifically in the Var department, by partnering with a long-standing and well-established player. For Synergy, the merger with a structured group offers new avenues for growth, a broader range of solutions for its clients, and enhanced investment capacity in an IT market currently undergoing consolidation.

In connection with this transaction, I-Deal Development acted as exclusive financial advisor to the seller. This transaction demonstrates I-Deal Development’s expertise in supporting divestiture transactions in the technology services sector, safeguarding the interests of management-shareholders and optimizing the terms of the deal.

“The commitment and availability of the I-Deal Development teams were crucial throughout the project. Their ability to challenge stakeholders enabled us to complete a transaction aligned with my objectives, both in terms of asset management and the continuity of Synergy. As I was unfamiliar with this type of transaction, I particularly appreciated their support, which was both structured and reassuring. Florian and Vianney were also able to move discussions forward and resolve complex issues during negotiations.” Christophe Gera
