Since 1995, MS Geslam, a Canadian-based company, has specialised in IT hosting and software sales. The group ended its 2021 fiscal year with a turnover of CAD 5.6 million, an increase of 17% compared to 2020.
The management and shareholders of MS Geslam wished to hand over the business in order to realise some of their assets and continue to develop the business with new resources. Indeed, the merger of MS Geslam into Noxent makes sense from a geographical, offer, expertise and customer perspective.
For 20 years, Noxent has developed expertise in infrastructure, network, cloud, telephony and cable solutions. The group offers its customers high-performance and secure solutions developed through partnerships with international players such as Microsoft. The company, which employs around 60 experts, generated a turnover of CAD 7 million in 2020.
This acquisition allows Noxent to consolidate its geographical positioning by expanding east of Montreal, and at the same time acquire new market share and develop its client portfolio by partnering with Ms. Beaudry and Mr. Rainville, the directors of MS Geslam. This transaction allows them to take a key step in their development.
I-Deal Development Canada Inc. is thus completing its 6th transaction in North America in the space of 18 months.
I-Deal Development’s intervention was to :
- Build a relationship of trust between the managers of Noxent and MS Geslam
- Build a common project with them (customer penetration, marketing and sales animation, expansion of key accounts and generating cross-selling)
- Negotiate the financial terms of the transaction and structure the financing of the transaction
I-Deal Development was able to draw on its experience in this type of transaction and the local network it has been developing for several years. The transaction was completed in 4 months.
