We are happy to announce the acquisition of SCP by Dimotrans Group, led by Mr. Salvatore Alaimo. In order to accelerate its e-logistics business (“So E-business”), already operational around Lyon (East of France) through its 30.000 sq. m. warehouses, Dimotrans has chosen to invest in a new existing platform in Paris, with the acquisition of SCP.
SCP is specialized in high value-added logistics, and more particularly in low volume and weight product delivery with strong cash value. The company has developed an
extremely secured organization to combine responsiveness and safety. SCP mainly targets large accounts in the luxury and high technology sectors.
This takeover will help Dimotrans’ launch of its logistics services, dedicated to B to C and B to B e-business, therefore leveraging its expertise and international network. In addition, this transaction allows the € 220M revenue company to forecast serious goals, as Mr Alaimo aims to: “multiply the current revenue generated by our e-business by 10 in two years (…) and become the industry leader in France ! A legitimate ambition regarding the increasing demand which we must now take care of “.
For SCP former President and VP, Mickaël Macé and Frédérick Suchodolski, this selling allows them to free up time to focus on their core business activities: supporting the
development of UrbanPost an ambitious venture business, a business related to registered mail deregulation market. This activity is facing exceptional growth, and needs to be
carefully managed by its founders.
Regarding I-Deal Development’s input, Mickaël Macé adds, “I-Deal Development allowed us to spare precious time, introducing us to relevant companies out of reach for us”. Indeed, Frédéric Bonan and his team led a full strategic analysis of Mr. Mace and Suchodolski’s business environment, to accurately suggest milestones that would ensure sustainability to the “Novéa Group”. Although the initial idea was to look for equity, SCP shareholders decided to sell this subsidiary further to of I-Deal Development’s recommendation. They mandated I-Deal Development, convinced by their industry knowledge and small and medium businesses know-how of asset management.
